Meet Dr. Curtis
Dr. Crystal (Brickhouse) Curtis is proud to serve the Washington Metropolitan area at Watkins Park Family Dentistry. Her mission in dentistry is to share the love of Christ in all that she does, by building lasting relationships and helping people achieve the smiles they’ve always wanted. She is known for her gentle and gifted hands as well as her relentless pursuit of excellence. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland.
She is highly devoted to community service and started an initiative entitled “Healthy Smiles are Worthwhile.” To date, she has spoken to over 6,000 students about the importance of oral health care. Dr. Curtis has volunteered at Mission of Mercy dental clinics in Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland. She has also traveled on mission trips to Peru and the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Curtis is passionate about staying on the leading edge of dentistry and invests hundreds of hours into continuing education each year. She completed multiple post graduate dental education courses including a one year maxi-residency course in implant dentistry through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
She is a woman of faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. She is happily married and enjoys spending time with her husband and their son. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, exercising, and photography.
